Rick, a vice president with Plante Moran Realpoint (PMR), formerly Plante Moran Cresa, is a program manager with more than 28 years of experience in the design and construction field. He is a well-rounded professional who’s been involved with a broad range of project types in the commercial, retail, industrial, K-12, higher education, residential, and hospitality industries.
Over the course of his career, Rick has worked as a draftsman, designer, project architect, field representative, project manager, department manager, and owner’s representative. Because of his diverse experience, Rick has developed the ability to view projects from various perspectives, making him a more effective problem-solver, team member, and team leader. Rick takes great pride in utilizing his experience as the owner’s advocate to ensure projects are completed on time, on budget, and to a quality that exceeds the owner’s expectations.
Rick has played a key role on numerous projects throughout his career. A few notable projects include MotorCity Casino, Detroit Institute of Arts’ facility condition assessment, Toyota Technical Center campus expansion study, GM Lab 1 consolidation and expansion, Eastern Michigan University Strong Hall addition and renovation, Central Michigan’s Center for Integrated Health Studies addition and renovation, West Bloomfield Township’s Police Station expansion and renovation, and Grand Blanc Township’s new DPW/Fire Station Facility.
Rick received his Master of Architecture degree, with distinction, from Lawrence Technological University. He is a registered architect and a member of the American Institute of Architects (AIA).
